This page supports RTCA SC-209 in their work
revising and maintaining (1) a Minimum Operational Performance
Specification (MOPS) for Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System /
Mode Select (ATCRBS/Mode S) Airborne Equipment (RTCA/DO-181C), and
(2) the Minimum Operational Characteristics for Airborne ATC
Transponder Systems (RTCA/DO-144).
RTCA SC-209
is co-chaired by Thomas Pagano (FAA) and Robert Saffell (Rockwell
Collins), with Robert Duffer (FAA) as the Designated Federal
Official (DFO). Working Group #1 works with the modifications
to DO-181, while Working Group #2 works with the modifications to
DO-144. For more information on the activities of this
